Behold, the first appearance of Linus Van Pelt!

In other Peanuts news, I see Scripps has sold the licensing rights to the Peanuts characters (and of all the other properties represented by its United Media Licensing unit, such as Happy Bunny and Raggedy Ann & Andy) to Iconix Brand Group, which heretofore had represented only clothing and home furnishings brands such as Joe Boxer and Fieldcrest. Under the terms of the deal, the Schulz family will put up the money for and own 20% of the unit. It's nice to see the family getting partial ownersip of the characters after all these years.
