Ten random things: April 28

Ten celebrities from whom I have supposedly received e-mails:

  1. Jessica Alba
  2. Tom Daschle
  3. Ashley Greene
  4. Bob Geldoff
  5. Jeremy Piven
  6. Matt Damon
  7. Connie Britton
  8. Bono
  9. Melinda Gates
  10. Bill Frist

I get several e-mails a week from the ONE Campaign, an international organization that lobbies for government funding for and effectiveness of international aid programs. Every so often, those e-mails are sent under the name of a celebrity who works with the group. My assumption as a former legislative correspondent for a U.S. Senator is that the celebrity e-mails are written not by the celebrities themselves but by ONE Campaign staff, but it is nevertheless kind of fun to check my mail and find a message from Jessica Alba. Bill Frist, perhaps not so much, but hey, better him than, say, "Saleem Kabure the Auditing and Accounting section manager in AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (A.D.B) Ouagadougou Burkina faso."
