Local elections in my home town yesterday. Mayor, three council seats.

My pick for mayor? Trounced. And two of the three people I supported for town council got beat too.

On the plus side, one of my town council candidates won. And the two council candidates I wanted to lose, lost. (There were seven candidates: three I supported, two I opposed, and two toward whom I was fairly indifferent.)

And as a Democrat, I should be pleased that all the candidates supported by the local Democratic Committee won. But I didn't support the Democratic slate this time around, so mixed feelings there.
