Community marathon tonight!

I've mentioned several time recently that my favorite new show this past season was NBC's Community, which incidentally received exactly no Emmy nominations, which would have proved that the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences is history's greatest monster if their nomination of Family Guy as Best Comedy last year hadn't settled the question. I mean, OK, there were a lot of really good comedies last year, so I can't really complain about it getting passed over for Best Comedy, but nominating Tony Shaloub instead of Joel McHale in Best Actor in a Comedy? Not nominating Justin Lin for him amazing direction of the episode "Modern Warfare," which is one of the best episodes of anything I've ever seen? It's a travesty. A travesty, I say!

But don't take my word for it. Tonight, NBC is devoting its entire primetime schedule to the show. Six of the first season's best episodes, one right after another! Alison Brie, who plays Annie on the show (and Trudy on Mad Men), spoke to the LA Times earlier this week about the six episodes they'll be showing, so you can check that out if you want to know in advance what you'll be seeing. (I should warn you, though, that the still they use to illustrate "Debate 109" is actually from the episode "Football, Feminism and You." Sloppy!)

But anyway, the point is that Community is really good and you should totally watch tonight's marathon. Trust me, I wouldn't lead you astray!
