Ten random things: August 31

Ten fictional characters whose likenesses can be found in my cubicle at work:

  1. Supergirl
  2. Scrooge McDuck
  3. Nani Pelekai
  4. Donald Duck
  5. Norville "Shaggy" Rogers
  6. Sophie Sheridan
  7. Buttercup
  8. Cordelia Chase
  9. Amy Pond
  10. Larry the Cucumber

By way of clarification, I should point out that the Buttercup in question is the Powerpuff Girl, not the title character in The Princess Bride. Let me identify some of these others, too: Nani Pelekai is the older sister in Lilo and Stitch; Sophie Sheridan is the bride in the musical Mamma Mia!; Cordelia Chase is a character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel; Amy Pond is a companion of the Doctor on Doctor Who; and Larry the Cucumber is a character from the VeggieTales series. I know most people reading this will know most if not all of the people I just identified, but I know not everyone will.

It may also be (but probably isn't) worth noting that of these, all but the ducks and Amy Pond appear on magnets I have displayed on my filing cabinet and light fixtures. Donald is a little PVC figurine; Uncle Scrooge appears on the insulated mug out of which I drink my morning cup of tea; and Amy is pictured on my Windows wallpaper.
