If you read the obituary of Annetta Rosser I linked to yesterday, you saw that she once played in a string quartet with Albert Einstein. At the funeral on Saturday, her son told a story about how her husband, the famous mathematician Barkley Rosser, reacted when she told him about it:

     Annetta: I'm been invited to play in a string quartet with Albert Einstein! Aren't you proud of me?
     Barkley: Not really. Now, if you'd been invited to do mathematics with him ...
