Thirty-one songs I listened to driving back to Wisconsin from Illinois yesterday:
- The Procession - Major & Minor
- Girlyman - St. Peter's Bones
- Ben Folds Five - Underground
- Ben Folds Five - Narcolepsy
- Brian Setzer Orchestra - Jump, Jive and Wail
- Carmen McRae - You Took Advantage of Me
- Neko Case - The Needle Has Landed
- XTC - Respectable Street
- James Brown - Living in America
- The Blasters - Marie, Marie
- Bourgeois Tagg - I Don't Mind At All
- Robert Cray - Steppin' Out
- John Mayer feat. Taylor Swift - Half of My Heart
- The Five Americans - Western Union
- The Bens - Just Pretend
- The Beatles - Happiness Is a Warm Gun
- Aretha Franklin - (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman
- Killing Joke - Eighties
- Sufjan Stevens - Let's Hear That String Part Again, Because I Don't Think They Heard It All the Way Out in Bushnell
- XTC - The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead
- David Bowie - Suffragette City
- Chris Clouse - Mona Lisa
- Ryan Adams - Now That You're Gone
- The Beatles - I Call Your Name
- Kate Nash - Kiss That Grrrl
- The Beatles - I Want to Tell You
- The Posies - Dream All Day
- XTC - King for a Day
- Ben Folds - Still
- Ben Folds Five - Battle of Who Could Care Less
- A. C. Newman - Miracle Drug
The most surprising thing about this is that there are no New Pornographers songs, unless you count the ones by Neko Case and A. C. Newman. I definitely have more songs by them on my MP3 player than by XTC, so it's odd that I ended up hearing three songs by the latter and none by the former. Oh well, thus is the nature of randomness.
