Sitting on my shelf across the room from me is a copy of Born Into Brothels, the winner at the 77th Academy Awards, which I bought for some absurdly low price during the liquidation sale at the camera shop I used to work at. (It's about a photographer who travels to India to photograph prostitutes and ends up teaching their children photography in return for being allowed to take pictures of their mothers, which is why it was being sold in a camera shop.) I seem to recall predicting that The Story of the Weeping Camel would win that year.
