  4. BAFTA Award, Best Foreign Actress: Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, 1959
  5. BAFTA Award, Britannia Award for Artistic Excellence in International Entertainment, 2005
  6. National Board of Review, Best Actress: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, 1966
  7. David Di Donatello Award, Best Foreign Actress: Zee and Co., 1972
  8. Hasty Pudding's Woman of the Year Award, Harvard University, 1977
  9. Silver Bear for Best Actress, 22nd Berlin International Film Festival: Hammersmith Is Out, 1972
  10. BAFTA Award, Best British Actress: Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, 1967

Elizabeth Taylor passed away today at the age of 79. I find it interesting that she won a BAFTA Award as Best Foreign Actress in 1959 and eight years later won as Best British Actress. She was in fact both British and American, having been born to American parents in London. Making her, I might suppose, the most famous anchor baby in the world.
