So of course by Friday the plan had changed. Turns out dad and Lois had a prior engagement they'd forgotten about, so now my sister and nephew and I were driving down to see them in Illinois. OK. But then they had to leave right after brunch, so all in all I only saw them for about an hour. We spent another hour with Grandma, then we had to leave to get back to Madison. I would have liked to see them more, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
