Ten abandoned Tito-era Yugoslavian war monuments:
Crack Two recently posted an amazing series of photos of abandoned Yugoslavian war monuments. Apparently, Tito commissioned them in the 60s and 70s to commemorate sites where World War II battles had been fought or where concentration camps had stood. Back in the day they were quite the tourist attractions, but when Yugoslavia fractured they were abandoned by whatever countries they happened to end up in. The photos were taken in 2008 and 2009, and there are another fifteen photos that I didn't show here. I must insist you go look at them.
