Advent 2011: Best wishes for a great holiday season (A Very Heaton Christmas, day 5)

We wrap up A Very Heaton Christmas with a card sent out by my younger sister. In 2007, she and her family visited Disney World (you may have been able to guess that by looking at the card). At the time, my nephew was, shall we say, obsessed with Cars in general and Lightning McQueen in particular. So he was pretty excited when a Disney Dream Maker picked him—on his 5th birthday, no less—to be the Junior Pit Crew for Lightning McQueen and Mater at MGM Studios. Exactly what this entailed I can't say, but I do know he was the one to throw the checkered flag at the end of the race between Lightning McQueen and Mater (not what I call a fairly matched contest, but what do I know?) and be the first kid to meet the cars. The other two were taken in front of the totem pole in the Wilderness Lodge and on board the Magic Kingdom Train.

BONUS CONTENT! This isn't exactly a Christmas card, but hey, close enough. My nephew made this fine work of art for me in 2003. He was only 14 months old at the time. Hard to believe, I know.

Merry Christmas!
