Two down, ten to go

It’s the first day of March, which means I’ve made it through another month of posting content to my LJ every day. Woo! I’m not going to be posting much here today, because Fridays are the day I spend an ungodly amount of time compiling the review roundup for community_tv, but here's an interesting picture to look at:

Giant plastic six-pack rings strangle public sculptures

Back in 2010, the Plastic Pollution Coalition placed a giant six pack ring around a sculpture of frolicking porpoises located at the corner of Georgia and Thurlow Streets in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to draw attention to the danger posed to sea life by plastic pollution. I just saw it yesterday, when college pal Gram shared it on his Facebook wall. A cool stunt, and one that reminded me of another sculpture-related prank from the Pacific northwest, which you can check out here.
