Art on Sunday: Hot lunches for children of agricultural workers

College pal Scott is coming to town today! It will be a quid pro quo sort of visit; he's buying me lunch, and I'm treating him to a hockey game. So I figured, why not commemorate the event by posting a work of art that has to do with hockey? Well, because there's not much art out there having to do with hockey, that's why. There's this, and a portrait of Bobby Hull in the National Portrait Gallery I didn't like very much. The Walters Art Museum has a nice 15th century ink-on-parchment drawing of some young men playing hockey, but it's hockey of the field variety, and we're going to see an ice hockey game. Luckily, there are plenty of works of art having to do with the other half of our outing.
