Lots of art

Hey, I haven't done an art post recently. Time to rectify that! Recently, a few of my Facebook friends challenged me to post works of art by specific artists on my Facebook wall. It's the same sort of deal as the "post poems by specific poets on your Facebook wall" thing I did last month, only with, you know, art.

High school pal Meggan S. assigned me Alfred Sisley:

Alfred Sisley (1839–1899)
The Bridge at Villeneuve–la–Garenne, 1872
Oil on canvas
The Bridge at Villeneuve–la–Garenne
Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Church pal Susan F. gave me Joan Miró:

Joan Miró (1893–1983) / Robert Haligon (born 1932)
Personnage (Personage), 1972
Painted synthetic resin (lost wax)
Personnage (Personage)
Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, Louisville, Ky.

Community fandom pal Brittany M. assigned me Hank Willis Thomas:

Hank Willis Thomas (born 1976)
Cotton Bowl, 2011
Digital c-print

Jack Shainman Gallery, New York.

And Buffy fandom pal Cassie B. assigned me Natalia Goncharova:

Natalya Goncharova (1881–1962)
Peasants dancing [Khorovod (Round Dance)], 1910-11
oil on canvas
Peasants dancing [Khorovod (Round Dance)]
