A few minutes ago I read an item in Josh Marshall's Talking Points Memo about a VOA plan to start a channel devoted to broadcasting Western pop music into Iran. Naturally, the song "I Ran" by A Flock of Seagulls sprang into my head and started playing itself over and over. A few minutes later, with "I Ran" still in my head, I found in a Slate article about why taxing stock dividends is good fiscal and social policy an off-hand reference to A Flock of Seagulls. Ooh, serendipity!
