On March 6, I asked people to recommend songs I should download with my four free iTunes downloads. Nine people recommended 29 different songs. I eliminated one ("Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring") because I already owned it, and I had to eliminate seven others because they weren't available on iTunes. (The good news is that I was able to find one of those songs -- "We are marching on 'neath the Purple and Gold" -- for free from the Western Illinois University Alumni Association web site.)
Now it's time for the second round of voting. You may vote for up to four of the songs listed below. Leave your votes in the comments if you're not a registered LiveJournal user. And remember, democracy is meaningless if you don't vote!
Which, if any, of the following songs should John download?
By the way, if anyone cares, the songs I eliminated were:
- "Twilight Zone" by Golden Earring
- "Intervention Song" from 8 Crazy Nights
- "Jingle Bells" by the Jingle Dogs
- "Appalachian Stomp" by Alison Krauss
- "The Passenger" by Iggy Pop
- "Milk of the Moon" by Greg Brown
- "I Hope I Get It" from A Chorus Line
- "We're Marching On" by the WIU Marching Band
