Friday's episode of Firefly was not as good as the last two eps, and was actually kind of a disappointment given that it was written by Ben Edlund, the hugely talented and funny creator of The Tick.

Authorities took two men into custody Monday for questioning in the Washington-area sniper attacks after surrounding a white van parked at a pay phone.

I'm going to go on the record here and predict that the two men currently in custody will ultimately be found to have nothing to do with the shootings. Just a hunch.

I left Cedar Rapids early on Sunday morning and drove up to Wisconsin to visit my newest nephew, Matthew. And my sister Jenni and brother-in-law Jim, but mostly the baby.
