Broadway hit?

I was just recovering a catastrophic shelf failure over in our sheet music section, and I ran across a book entitled Broadway Sheet Music Hits. One of the songs featured in the book: "Beautiful City," from Godspell. But wasn't that song composed for the movie version of Godspell? I'm pretty sure it was, which makes it an interesting choice for inclusion in a book of Broadway sheet music.

Reader Request Month: Day 2

Ten characters in books I sort of intend to read someday but have never made any real effort to do so:

  1. Roland (The Song of Roland)
  2. Constance Bonacieux (The Three Musketeers)
  3. Catherine (Wuthering Heights)
  4. Jane Eyre (Jane Eyre)
  5. Rodion Romanovitch Raskolnikov (Crime and Punishment)
  6. Anne Shirley (Anne of Green Gables)
  7. Howard Roark (The Fountainhead)
  8. Sal Paradise (On the Road)
  9. Hiro Protagonist (Snow Crash)
  10. Jonathan Strange (Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell)

It's actually not entirely true that I've never made any effort to read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell; in fact, I own it. I just haven't cracked it open yet.

This list comes in response to Greg Sorenson's desire to see Hiro Protagonist mentioned in a list.
