Ten random things: Reader Request Month, day 28

Ten Roman Catholic Archbishops:

  1. Nicholas Chia (Archbishop of Singapore, 2001 – present)
  2. Jean de Marigny (Archbishop of Rouen, France, 1347 – 1350)
  3. Norberto Cardinal Rivera Carrera (Archbishop of México, 1995 – present)
  4. Alexander Stewart (Archbishop of St. Andrews, Scotland, 1504 – 1513)
  5. Polycarp Cardinal Pengo (Archbishop of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, 1998 – present)
  6. Domingo Fernández Navarrete (Archbishop of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 1677 – 1689)
  7. Patrick Feehan (Archbishop of Chicago, Illinois, 1880 – 1902)
  8. Marcel Lefebvre (Archbishop of Dakar, Senegal, 1955 – 1962)
  9. Marian Cardinal Jaworski (Archbishop of Lviv, Ukraine, 1991 – present)
  10. Thomas C. Kelly (Archbishop of Louisville, Kentucky, 1982 – present)

Today's list is for fizzball, who wanted to see a list featuring Pengo, whom I must assume is his favorite African Archbishop. And who can blame him?

Radio, radio

All you Jeopardy! fans out there may be interested to hear Ken Jennings' appearance on The Kojo Nnamdi Show yesterday. Of particular interest to readers of this journal is his discussion (at 46:49) of his participation in the 2006 American Crossword Puzzle Tournament, which was prompted by a question e-mailed by yours truly. Also of interest, albeit to me only, was that one of the callers (Molly from Charles Town, W.V., at 43:45) is a friend of mine from church.
