From Redeemed: A Spiritual Misfit Stumbles Toward God, Marginal Sanity, and the Peace That Passes All Understanding by Heather King:

I read Susan Sontag's Illness as Metaphor, the gist of which seemed to be: Oh, it is difficult to exist in a world where everyone but me is so deeply stupid.

Doubtless true, but isn't that the gist of almost everything Susan Sontag ever wrote?

Ten random things: March 2

Ten Season Passes on my TiVo:

  1. Doctor Who
  2. Psych
  3. Law & Order (DC4)
  4. Leverage
  5. Ace of Cakes
  7. Futurama
  8. Chopped
  10. Kim Possible

I like watching old episodes of Law & Order, but I didn't much care for Dianne Wiest or Fred Dalton Thompson, so I created a Wish List to grab only those episodes that featured Stephen Hill as D. A. Adam Schiff. It's a good system, except for the time it accidentally recorded an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent titled "Tuxedo Hill." As for number 9, now that it's turned up on HBO and a recording has been scheduled, I guess I can delete it.
