Ten random things: Reader Request Month, day 20

Ten movies or television shows in which Kim Richards appeared:

  1. The Whiz Kid and the Mystery at Riverton (Daphne 'Daffy' Fernald)
  2. James at 15 (Sandy Hunter)
  3. The Horrible Honchos (Minnow )
  4. Hello, Larry (Ruthie Alder)
  5. The Blair Witch Mountain Project (Tia)
  6. Special Delivery (Juliette)
  7. Nanny and the Professor (Prudence Everett)
  8. Tuff Turf (Frankie Croyden)
  9. Escape to Witch Mountain (Tia Malone)
  10. The Picture of Dorian Gray (Beatrice as a child)

This list was inspired by mistagoalie, who wanted to see Hello, Larry mentioned in a list. And once again I'm grateful to him for providing me with an excuse to wallow in pointless nostalgia.

On my list of cherished television-related memories of my youth, James at 15 (the original made-for-TV movie, not the series that followed it, though that was good too) is definitely in the top ten. I haven't seen it in at least 25 years, but I can still see Lance Kerwin making out with Melissa Sue Anderson like it was yesterday. Mmm, Melissa Sue Anderson. The Whiz Kid and the Mystery at Riverton also evokes fond memories, not for the film but rather for the Alvin Fernald books by Clifford Hicks, on which the movie was based. They really need to bring those back into print.

By the way, you can download a copy of The Blair Witch Mountain Project from kimrichards.com. It's pretty funny, though a familiarity with the Witch Mountain movies is probably necessary to fully appreciate it.
