Ten random things: October 21

Photographers whose work is on display at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History:

  1. Jacob Gayer
  2. B. Anthony Stewart
  3. Joseph F. Rock
  4. Sam Abell
  5. James P. Blair
  6. Thomas J. Abercrombie
  7. Maynard Owen Williams
  8. Luis Marden
  9. Dean Conger
  10. Steve McCurry

These ten photographers are featured in In Focus: National Geographic Greatest Portraits, which "features 50-60 photographic portraits from National Geographic magazine that record a century's worth of advancements in photography and reflect changes in attitudes toward cultural and social issues." The exhibit closes January 2, 2005. It's an interesting exhibit, though I for one am not entirely convinced that it has anything to do with natural history.
