Whoops! I made a mistake, that's all!

Elihu Yale was not from Connecticut, nor did he found Yale University. He was born in Boston, but moved to England when he was four and never returned to the United States. As for the university that bears his name, it was founded as the Collegiate School of Connecticut by a group of ten Congregationalist ministers; it was renamed for Yale after he donated "nine bales of goods, 417 books, and a portrait and arms of King George I." So there you go.
