Several months ago I visited the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and saw an exhibition on American studio furniture (also known as craft furniture). At about the same time I saw something in dynagirl's journal that made me think she would have liked it, and said as much in a comment. Shortly thereafter I scanned some of the images from the exhibition brochure with the idea of posting them… and promptly forgot about them. But this weekend when I was looking for something else, I found them. Unfortunately, I have no idea who made any of these four pieces, because I can't find the brochure from which I scanned the pictures. I think the desk at top right may be Jere Osgood's "Cylinder-Front Desk," but I'm not sure. If I can track down any info about any of the four pieces below, I'll let you know.
