Last year I suggested that anything could be made into a Christmas-themed work of art simply by adding the words "Merry Christmas" to it. Proving that point once again is this card from the James Mullen Christmas Card Collection at the Smithsonian Archive of American Art, which features an attractive though not particularly seasonal silkscreen print by Hale Woodruff. Nevertheless, it's undeniably a Christmas card; it says so, right there on the back. Q.E.D.
