I've not watched any of the Olympics this year, but I've been following them in the news. I'm not really much of a sports fan, but I have sort of an intellectual interest in how they're organized and operated, and in the results of the major events. So while I have no particular interest in watching, say, figure skating, I did spend quite a lot of talking about figure skating over the past couple of weeks, and I followed the competition closely. But I didn't watch it. Even I'm willing to admit that's a little odd. But I'm consistent: I'm a faithful reader of Gregg Easterbrook's Tuesday Morning Quarterback, but I haven't watched more than a couple minutes of a football game in quite some time.
