I've decided to give up my boycott of the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship tournament. I still object to them not giving automatic bids to all the conference champions, but my boycott was predicated on the idea that they had previously allowed all the conference champs to participate and that they had changed that policy in 2001. But this morning I took some time this morning to read up on the history of the tournament, and it seems that they've always limited the number of conference champs allowed in the tournament. Also, the boycott didn't seem to be having much of an impact.

So, the boycott is over. As George W. Bush might say, Mission Accomplished. I hereby declare my support for the following teams: George Washington University, Bradley University, University of North Carolina, and University of Iowa.
