Ten random things: March 22

Ten colleges or universities I've visited (but did not attend as a student):

  1. The Ohio State University (Columbus, Ohio)
  2. University of Evansville (Evansville, Ind.)
  3. Illinois State University (Normal, Ill.)
  4. Luther College (Decorah, Iowa)
  5. Carroll College (Waukesha, Wis.)
  6. McDaniel College (Westminster, Md.)
  7. University of Missouri (Columbia, Mo.)
  8. George Mason University (Fairfax, Va.)
  9. Shepherd University (Shepherdstown, W.V.)
  10. Emerson College (Boston, Mass.)

Two of the colleges on this list had different names when I visited them. Shepherd University used to be known as Shepherd College, and McDaniel College used to be known as Western Maryland College. I'm not sure why the latter one changed its name, but maybe it was because the old name implied it was located in the western part of the state, which it isn't. (It was actually named after the long-defunct Western Maryland Railroad.)

I should also point out that my sister went to Carroll College. She was mad that I didn't put it on yesterday's list of Presbyterian colleges (but I had a good reason!), so I made this one to rectify the situation.
