While baby-sitting last night, my niece and my nephew and I played a new board game: LEGO Creator. Each player gets a design card; the goal is to go around the board collecting the pieces you need to build the object on your card. The first one to finish his or her object wins. It was a really fun game!
I'm not too proud to admit that both kids kicked my ass. I got all the bricks I needed for my airplane in good time, but I had bad luck when it came to the "special pieces," such as the propeller and propeller shaft. My niece was the first to finish, and while my nephew and I battled it out for second place, she made award certificates for us. Mine reads as follows:
The second "t" is actually a capital "J," written backwards and with the crossbar a bit too low. But I'm not complaining. It's the best award I've received all year!
