Went up to Chambersburg, Pa., for Thanksgiving dinner with my brother and his family yesterday. The meal was superb, and after dinner I got to watch one of the greatest movies of all time, The Blues Brothers. At first, my nephew David was very reluctant to watch it, but his grandfather and I held him down, and by the end the silliness and the cartoonish mayhem won him over.
The only downside to the trip was that on the way back home, niece Molly cried non-stop from Hagerstown, Md., to Leesburg. That grew tiresome rather quickly. Granted, she's still very young and crying is one of the four things she knows how to do, but you think that even a five-month-old would figure out after an hour that the crying wasn't going to accomplish anything.
