People in the congregation at the Christmas Eve service earlier this evening saw me in the choir loft with a big smile on my face, and probably thought I was charmed by and proud of the youth of the church as they read the scripture and sang the carols. But the truth is I was thinking about Joseph's reaction to being told that Mary was pregnant: "WHAT? HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME! GIVE ME BACK THE RING!"
