Let's hear it for the Methodists

The church at which I attended Christmas Eve services (and another worship service this past Sunday) may have an imperfect understanding of what's traditional and what isn't, but give them credit for being nice to visitors. Found on the front stoop this evening: a coffee mug with the church's logo and the Lord's Prayer printed on it, containing a refrigerator magnet, a little pad of Post-It Notes, a few pieces of candy, and a note from a member of the "Welcome Express Team." Haven't tried the Post-Its yet, but the piece of butterscotch candy I tried was pretty darn good, my nightly cup of peppermint tea tasted mighty fine in the new mug, and the magnet continues to cling to the refrigerator door, so I give this little welcome package a big thumbs up.
