Ten things I bought at the grocery store this afternoon:
- Rice
- Margarine
- Tomato paste
- Ground beef
- Cajun seasoning
- Diet Pepsi
- Milk
- Paper towels
- Carrots
- Dried rosemary
The ground beef and tomato paste went into a spaghetti sauce, which went over some pasta, which went into my belly. Meanwhile, my roommate had a brace of hot dogs and a hunk of Italian bread. Granted, his prep time was, say, one-tenth as long as mine, what with the browning of the meat and the thorough mixing and lengthy simmering of the sauce and the boiling of the pasta and what have you, but I think the time was well spent.
Also: carrying ten liters of liquids on your back is hard on the shoulders. Just in case you were wondering.
