My usual excuse for posting a list like this is that I'm feeling lazy, or that I'm pressed for time. Today, however, I have an entirely different and much better reason: this was the topic of my very first list of ten random things, posted on this date four years ago. Four years! That's a pretty good run for something so pointless.
I should perhaps point out that while these were the first ten songs in my WinAmp playlist this morning, they were not, in fact, the first ten songs I listened to this morning. I only had time to listen to the first five before I had to leave for work. For the record, the next five songs I heard after "Here It Goes Again" were:
- Journey - Who's Crying Now
- Beach Boys - Kokomo
- Phil Collins - Two Hearts
- Pet Shop Boys - West End Girls
- Georgia Satellites - Hippy Hippy Shake
Which just goes to show that I have better taste in music than the person who programmed the all-80s in-house music system at the mall. Bold words coming from a Bay City Rollers fan, but come on, Journey.
