Ten mystery novels by Agatha Christie:
- And Then There Were None
- The Big Four
- Why Didn't They Ask Evans?
- N or M?
- Ordeal by Innocence
- The Moving Finger
- Sparkling Cyanide
- By the Pricking of My Thumbs
- Three Act Tragedy
- Murder in Mesopotamia
The title of By the Pricking of My Thumbs comes, of course, from Macbeth, act IV, scene 1:
By the pricking of my thumbs,
Something wicked this way comes.
The second part of that couplet has also been used as the title of a well-known novel by Ray Bradbury. I've always sort of wondered if there are any other well-known poetic couplets that have been so used, but never looked into it. Anyone?
