New horizons in geography

Sarah Palin, addressing a crowd of supporters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa:

"It's so good to be here in Grand Rapids."

Since her running mate misplaced Spain by some 3000 miles just yesterday, I'd say Palin was doing pretty well just to get the continent right. And, in fairness, she's hardly the first to make a similar mistake. You used to be able to buy shirts in Iowa City that read, "University of Iowa, Idaho City, Ohio."
