So what is a District Star? Well, when I got to the library tonight, there was a children's non-fiction book about Washington, D.C. sitting on the table where I set up my laptop. Toward the back of the book, there was a section containing biographical paragraphs about notable District residents. The title of that section: District Stars. Other stars include Duke Ellington, Helen Hayes, and, most amusingly, Marion "Bitch set me up" Barry.
