Advent 2008: Winter Wonderland

Today's selection is the pop classic "Winter Wonderland," written in 1934 by Felix Bernard and Richard B. Smith. It is not, strictly speaking, a holiday song; the lyrics make no mention of Christmas, though it's been suggested that the mention of sleigh bells implies that it takes place during the holiday season. Whatever, it's a fun song, and Tony Bennet performs it particularly well. This version is from his 2008 release A Swingin' Christmas, recorded with the Count Basie Big Band.
