Advent 2008: Love Came Down At Christmas

Christina Rossetti wrote two of my favorite Christmas songs: the afore-posted "In the Bleak Midwinter" and today's song, the lesser-known but just as good "Love Came Down at Christmas." Written in 1885, it was set to a traditional Irish tune and first published as a hymn in the Church Hymnal of the Church of Ireland in 1919.
