I had a rare Sunday off yesterday, so I visited a new church: Unitarian Universalists of Sterling. I was surprised to learn the other day how close this was to my house; it took me less than ten minutes to walk there. And it was a gorgeous day for a walk; I had my coat fully unzipped by the time I reached the end of my street, and I didn't wear it at all on the way home. The service was very nice, as were the people I talked to after the church. Also, the UU theology is much more to my taste than that of the Southern Baptist church I visited in November, and the service was an hour shorter, which in my book counts for a lot. I have next Sunday off too, and I think I'll give them another try.
