Later this morning, I'll be helping to lead the children's Religious Exploration class at church. We use a curriculum called A World of New Friends: An Introduction to World Religions; today's featured religion is Islam, so I thought I'd post a bit of Islamic art. Per Wikipedia, a tughra is a imperial insignia of an Ottoman sultan; it was affixed to all official documents and correspondence, carved on his official seal, and stamped on the coins minted during his reign.
