During my visit to the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art last week, I made note of several artists and works that I particularly liked, with the thought in mind that I would look them up later and possibly use them for future Art on Sunday posts. One of the artists was Garry Winogrand, who was represented in the Apple Pie: Symbols of Americana in MMoCA's Collection exhibit by a photograph from his portfolio Women Are Beautiful. I liked the photograph, so I noted the name of the portfolio as well. A Google search led me to a great many more photographs from the same set, not to mention the very photograph I'd seen in Madison. Serendipitous!
